  • The Oregon Ducks Better Reveal Their Women’s And Men’s Air Jordan 7 PEs

While the rest of the NCAA enjoys their player exclusive Air Jordan 5s, the Oregon Ducks are cutting away from the grain, opting to deal out Air Jordan 7 PEs to their own.

Revealed back in December, the men’s AJ7 is finally being pictured in better detail. According to the Ducks themselves, these will be worn by their athletes during the Pac-12 tournament. Yellow suedes cover most of the entire shoe, scoring adjacent to green-tinted tongue and sole fixtures as well as some Ducks-specific iconography.

Alongside the men’s pair, a women’s variant was made exclusively for the team’s better half. White leathers run replete throughout the construction, giving the silhouette a look much more unassuming. But, at the tongue, the colorway bares its pride, dressing almost fully in a festive, gilded finish. What’s more, chenille letters spell out “UO” right over top, its textile made yellow and green to match the school flags.

  • This University of Oregon Air Jordan 7 PE Is Limited to 120 Pairs

As the alma mater of Phil Knight and Tinker Hatfield, the former coaching home of Bill Bowerman and the launching point of several other Nike employees’ careers, the University of Oregon is undeniably a Swoosh-centric school. Its athletic programs get hooked up with a myriad of player edition Nike and Air Jordan sneakers as well, one of the latest of which is an Air Jordan 7 PE.

Produced for the Ducks’ men’s and women’s basketball teams plus friends of Jordan Brand, this collegiate-inspired Air Jordan 7 was limited to a scant 120 individually numbered pairs and debuted in March. It’s made mostly of crisp white leather, and its signature detail arrives on its tongue: a large, varsity jacket-style UO chenille patch in green, yellow and black, surrounded by a wealth of iridescent detailing.

There’s more glossy detail to be found behind the heel tab as well. Sporty green accents appear via the Jumpman logos on the collar and outsole plus Ducks hits on the lace tips. A final dash of yellow appears on the inner half of the tongue. Normally, the shoe’s numbered tag would be seen here — but in these photos it’s partially blurred out, likely to protect the identity of the player or Jordan Brand “family member” who gave up their pair. A debossed, tonal Oregon logo replaces the heel’s usual rubberized badge to round off the look.

As this U of O Air Jordan 7 is indeed a player edition sneaker, it will not see a retail release. However, you can check it out in detail above.

  • The Air Jordan 7 “Flint” Releases Tomorrow

As revealed last month, Jordan Brand‘s Summer 2021 Retro Collection has several nostalgic styles lined up. Among these re-releases and remixes is the Air Jordan 7 “Flint”—a 2006 classic that will be preparing for its revival tomorrow.

The pair’s understated color palette was an instant hit during its debut nearly fifteen years ago. Specifically, it flaunts the OG Flint Grey nubuck quarter panels and white leather overlays. Hints of Court Purple are applied to branded details such as Jumpman and “23” logos, introducing subtle accents of color into the mix. To complete the throwback offering, a dimpled grey outsole features triangular patterns that reprise the geometric look delivered by the body’s aforementioned panels.

  • Air Jordan 7 “PSG” Welcomes Transparent Uppers On Parisian Influenced Design

Despite being just a few years old, the partnership between Jordan Brand and Paris Saint-Germain has been a fruitful one. The crossover opportunities are limitless as Jordan Brand’s growing popularity in Europe and the sheer reach of PSG have welcomed in some incredible products on the footwear front. Thus far, we’ve already seen the Air Jordan 1 Retro High, Air Jordan 4, Air Jordan 5, and Air Jordan 6 get knocked off the list, and in just a few weeks, we’ll be adding the Air Jordan 7 to that hefty roster.

Seen here for the first time via official images, the Air Jordan 7 expands the imaginative design of Tinker Hatfield by swapping the mid-foot and ankle panels for transparent mesh windows. Not only does it improve breathability and offer a unique detail never seen in the AJ7, but it actually touches on Hatfield’s intent to reduce weight to the footwear (seen in models like the Air Flight Huarache, a close relative of the AJ7).

The shoes are decorated in full Parisian flavor, with white, red, navy, and gold dotting its surrounds while loosely nodding to the famed Olympic colorway. On the heel, replacing the “23” placement on standard AJ7s, is a fleur-de-lis as well as a visage of the Eiffel Tower. Finally, the familiar test of “PANAME” and “ICI C’EST PARIS” can be seen on the insoles and exterior flaps. Custom shoeboxes will also be part of the full package.

  • The Air Jordan 7 “Raptors” From 1992 is Making a Comeback Next Year

Are you ready for the Air Jordan 7 “Raptors” to make a comeback? Hands down one of the most iconic AJ7 colourways ever made, it made its grand debut all the way back in 1992, and it set to return for its 30th anniversary. This is going to be a big one.

Originally called the “Dark Charcoal”, this legendary Air Jordan 7 didn’t actually receipt its signature name until 1995 when the Toronto Raptors entered the leagues. Done up in premium all-black nubuck, accents of red and purple make their way throughout for that world-famous aesthetic. A patterned tongue sits behind the Jumpman insignia, and around the heel you’ll find an oversized pull tab, complete with the number 23 as a nod to Michael Jordan’s jersey number.

While this Nike shoe did return in 2021, 2009, and 2001, 2022’s re-release is rumoured to be the most accurate to the original. So if you didn’t manage to secure the OG pair back in ’92, then now’s your chance!

There’s no word on when exactly the Nike Air Jordan 7 “Dark Charcoal” will drop, but it’ll definitely be sometime next year in 2022. Let us know what you think of this news, and in related news, the Union LA x Air Jordan 2 “Grey Fog” has been officially unveiled!
